Krystal T. Edwards is a graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School, and she has fostered strong ties to the people of Blair County by maintaining continuous involvement in the community throughout her life. After her admittance to the Pennsylvania Bar, Attorney Edwards brought her skills and training back to her hometown, and she joined Goldstein, Heslop, Steele, Clapper, Oswalt & Smith as an associate attorney in 2016, where she focuses on real estate law and estate planning and administration.

Education & Background

Attorney Edwards started her post-secondary education at Juniata College, where she dual-majored in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education to receive a Bachelor of Science in 2011. Traveling overseas, Attorney Edwards obtained a Master of Education with merit in Educational Leadership, Policy and Development from the University of Bristol in 2012. While finishing her graduate-level studies, Attorney Edwards began studying law at the Duquesne University School of Law, where she earned a Juris Doctor in 2015 and was honored with the Outstanding Student Leadership Award.

While attending law school, Attorney Edwards completed cross-cultural studies of various European legal systems while participating in a semester study abroad program with the University of Cologne. Upon her return, Attorney Edwards interned with the Honorable D. Brooks Smith of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. During her second year of law school, Attorney Edwards was a certified student intern with KidsVoice, for which she received a Duquesne University School of Law, Summer Public Interest Fellowship, and with the Duquesne University School of Law Family Law Clinic. Attorney Edwards continued to volunteer with the Family Law Clinic during her final year of law school while additionally clerking for the City of Pittsburgh’s Law Department and serving as Duquesne Law School’s Student Bar Association President. Throughout law school, Attorney Edwards was a student-volunteer with Christian Legal Aid, and she advanced to be a volunteer attorney before leaving Pittsburgh.

Associations & Awards

Attorney Edwards is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association, and she has been actively involved in the Blair County Bar Association, the Duquesne University School of Law Alumni Association, and the General Federation of Women’s Club, Hollidaysburg Division. Attorney Edwards has received state honors for her community involvement and volunteer service through recognition by the Commonwealth’s Office of the Lieutenant Governor and a Citation from the Commonwealth’s House of Representatives. Attorney Edwards was also awarded with certificates from the Allegheny County Bar Association and from Duquesne University School of Law for her pro bono services.
