Background & Education
Karen L. Steele was born in Roaring Spring, PA and graduated from Northern
Bedford County High School. She obtained a B.S. with high distinction
from Penn State University in 1977 and received her law degree from Dickinson
School of Law in 1980. She served as assistant district attorney in Blair
County for two years, which helped to strengthen her knowledge and inform
her current practice.
In addition to her years in practice, Attorney Steele is certified in Civil
Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
Attorney Steele is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania,
the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, The
U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Federal
Claims. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Blair
County Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice.
