John W. Heslop, Jr. was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Summa Cum Laude in 1977 with a B.A. in Economics. He had the highest Q.P.A. of any economics major in his graduating class.

He earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1980. Upon graduation from law school, Attorney Heslop served a one year clerkship with the judges of the York County Court of Common Pleas.

Admissions & Practice

Attorney Heslop is admitted to practice before all Pennsylvania Courts, The United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Attorney Heslop is currently a member of the Blair County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice.

Attorney Heslop also serves as a private arbitrator and mediator as well as a pro bono mediator for the Blair County Court of Common Pleas.
